The Ministry of Public Works, in partnership with the German International Cooperation (GIZ), is implementing the project titled: " Capacity Development in the Transport Sector", with GIZ being the pilot funding institution.

The project, which encompasses Four Lots of Road Maintenance, is currently being done by Liberian SMEs or Contractors.

Breakdown of the four (4) lots is as follows:

Lot 1: Caldwell - Louisiana Road ( Asphalt Patching)

Lot 2. Dixville Junction, ( RC Concrete and Asphalt Overlay)

Lot 3. Samuka Town Junction 1, ( RC Concret and Asphalt Overlay)

Lot 4. SamukaTown Junction 2, ( RC Concrete and Asphalt Overlay)

Consistent with the Supervision and Quality Control of Road Maintenance Repair Works enshrined in the Project Agreement, " The Ministry of Public Works will sustainably manage the maintenance of the roads with support from the project which will help in the improvement of capacity for MPW Project Managers and SMEs in the road and bridge sector..."
