With funding from the World Bank and the French Development Agency, the Ministry of Public Works through its Project Implementation Unit [ Liberia Urban Resilience Project] has commenced its drainage cleanup exercises dubbed "QUICK WIN".

The initiative started with the creation of access roads at the Wein Town Landfill outside Monrovia.

Several community awareness and engagement meetings were held in Doe Community, Monbo Town, Soniwein, Clara Town, Duala, amongst others.

At the moment, various cleanup exercises have hit the ground running in the communities mentioned supra aimed at rehabilitating blocked drainage lines within Monrovia and its environs.

This is in furtherance of the 100-Day Deliverables as was promised by Minister Roland Layfette Giddings during his  Confirmation Hearing.
